These files contain non-identifying information about sperm donors; they do not contain the names of sperm donors.Information on the files included: physical characteristics of the donor, pathology test results, and a copy of the donor statement (about his health in general), marital status, number of children, and consent as a donor.Under the Infertility (Medical Procedures) Act 1984 donors had the right to anonymity though they were also able to consent to contact by offspring.For files of identified donors, see VPRS 14966 Sperm Donor files, Alphabetical Order by Surname.
