Metagenomic studies aim to understand microbial communities, in which the main differential is the identification of non-cultivable organisms, through the sequencing of the total genomic material of a given sample through Next Generation Sequence (NGS) platforms. Thus, studies with this approach help elucidate the microbial diversity of the most varied environments, such as lakes. In this context, Lake Bologna consisted of the hydrographic system of the Utinga Springs, being one of the main manacials of water for public supply of the metropolitan region of Belém, serving around 75% of the population. Thus, the present work aims to analyze the microbial diversity found in Lake Bologna.
