16S sequencing data of feces from 163 piglets, comprising Duroc, Landrace, and Large White breeds.

Diarrhea in piglets poses a significant threat to swine farming. This study aimed to investigate the impact of breed effects on changes in gut microbiota by conducting 16S rRNA sequencing of fecal samples from different breeds and individual pigs. A total of 163 piglets were selected for this study, including three breeds: Duroc (61 piglets), Large White (63 piglets), and Landrace (39 piglets). All piglets were sourced from a large-scale breeding farm in Fujian, China, where they were raised under identical feeding standards and disease control conditions. The data presented here are from 16S rRNA sequencing of the gut contents of these 163 piglets.
