The transcriptional mechanism underlying dormancy release by cold stratification in the embryo and endosperm of wild rice (Oryza rufipogon Griff.) seeds was investigated. These findings contribute to our understanding the molecular mechanism underlying seed dormancy release by cold stratification and may help us re-introduce a reasonable level of seed dormancy into domesticated rice.
