The Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) dataset is spatially reprocessed data derived from the MODIS/Terra Level 3 product (MOD13C2) retrieved from satellite observations. This dataset provides global 1-degree spatial resolution monthly NDVI data spanning the period from 2009 to 2020. These data can serve as input for simulating global biogeochemical and hydrological processes as well as global and regional climates, and can also be used to analyze the impacts of terrestrial ecosystems on the global carbon cycle.
