TDMS files containing the acoustic emission data collected as part of the experiments for "Application of acoustic emission sensorisation to plasma spray deposition" paperEach file contains 2 MHz data from four acoustic emission sensors recorded using a PXI system. The four sensors were positioned on the four corners of a rectangular stainless steel plate being coated with powdered titanium.The data can be opened either in Python with the nptdms package or just with MATLAB<b>WARNING: The files have been compressed to between 5-15% of their original size. Combined the total size of the uncompressed files is 100+GB. Ensure you have enough space before uncompressing</b>ExperimentsThe files were recorded as part of a series of experiments where a metal plate was sensorised and the data recorded as it was being coated. Two plates were coated in total with different process parameters being used for each. Each plate had 6 designated sites organised as two rows of three that were coated with a specific set of parameters. The file names are organised by plate number and then site so for e.g. plate-1-1 refers to plate 1 and site 1.For Plate 1, the gas pressure was varied. Sites 1-3 were coated with 50 mBar at 550A. Sites 4-6 were coated at 150 mBar at 550A. For plate 2, the gun current was varies. Site 1 was coated at 535A and each subsequent site had the gun current raised by 5A (i.e. 540, 545, 550 etc.). The gas pressure for Plate 2 was 50 mBar.
