Minutes of Meeting: Linked Data Technical Review Group (LIDATEC), 24 August 2017

Minutes of the LIDATEC Review Group meeting on 24 August 2017 at WLIC in Wrocław, Poland. The meeting was in two parts: the outgoing committee immediately followed by the incoming committee. The main items discussed during the first part of the meeting were: implementing the change of license for IFLA namespaces to an open CC-BY license, gaining support and approval to upgrade the namespace infrastructure to a supported version of the Open Metadata Registry, registration of namespace with the Linked Open Vocabularies and the European portal (JOINUP), and the potential for collaboration with the Linked Open Data SIG was discussed. The second part of the meeting, under incoming chair Anders Cato, focused on the action plan for 2017-2019 and establishing a liaison mechanism with the Review Groups.
