Three sediment samples and three detrital charcoal samples from a landslide study near Forest Grove, Oregon, were examined to recover organic fragments suitable for radiocarbon age determination. One additional wood sample also was submitted. These samples were recovered from a sag pond on a landslide slope and from backhoe-dug holes on or near landslide deposits. Botanic components and detrital charcoal were identified, and potentially radiocarbon datable material was separated. A total of five radiocarbon dates were obtained.
