This dataset consists of 8000+ compact sources extracted from the BGPS extended continuum 1.1 mm observations. The sources were obtained using a custom extraction algorithm called "Bolocat", which is tailored to the BGPS maps. According to Rosolowsky et al. 2010, these sources are best characterized as dense molecular clumps.
