The purpose of an admission register was to record basic details about children admitted to the school, and about their parents or guardians. The registers were also used to record the progress of the children through various classes and the date of their leaving the school. Admission registers in paper format ceased in 1999 when the department moved to recording enrolment details in electronic format.The present series is represented by its first volume, which is the only volume currently held, covering the years from 1867 to 1885, and including retrospective entries of enrolments dating back to 1861. This volume contains information pertaining to each pupil, including date of admission, pupil's name, age, religious denomination and rate of school fee. The following details are recorded about the child's parents or guardians: name, residence and occupation. The pupil's date of admission to each subsequent grade, date of leaving the school and reason for leaving are also recorded.Girls and boys are listed on opposite pages in order of admission. These entries are numbered sequentially, with separate sequences for boys and for girls. In 1867, 1868, 1870, 1871 and 1875 all currently enrolled pupils have been entered anew and the numbering sequences recommenced.At some time in 1953 the volume came into the hands of two children, who entered their own names and the name and occupation of the father of one of them on blank pages in the unused latter part of the volume.

该卷记载了每名学生的详细信息,包括入学日期、学生姓名、年龄、宗教教派及学费标准;同时记录其父母或监护人的姓名、住址与职业。此外,档案中还留存有学生升入各后续年级的日期、离校日期及离校原因。
男女生按入学顺序分别登记在对页之上,且男女学生各自拥有独立的编号序列。1867、1868、1870、1871及1875年,所有在册学生均被重新登记,编号序列亦随之重置。
1953年的某一时期,该卷档案为两名儿童所得,二人在卷末未使用的空白页面上登记了自身姓名,以及其中一人父亲的姓名与职业。
