This study addresses the critical challenge of understanding the adaptive mechanisms of Tibetan pigs in the high-altitude, low-oxygen environment of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. We selected the low-altitude Diannan small-eared pig as a control. By combining whole-genome resequencing and transcriptome analysis, we identified key functional genes related to hypoxia adaptation in Tibetan pigs. The transcriptome sequencing data were derived from five tissues-heart, liver, spleen, lung, and bone marrow-of both Tibetan pigs and Yunnan small-eared pigs, with three biological replicates for each tissue, totaling 30 samples. RNA was extracted from these samples and sent for sequencing.
