Arachis pintoi belongs to the leguminous Arachis genus and is an important wild resource of the Arachis genus. This species has received more and more attention, due to its persistence in the pasture and its high nutritional value. However, few studies focused on its phylogeny, and its taxonomic status is still controversial. To better understand the evolution of this species, the complete chloroplast genome of A. pintoi was obtained by next-generation sequencing.
