Database of Corroded Reinforced Concrete Columns

Reinforced concrete (RC) columns are employed in buildings as the primary load-bearing and lateral force-resisting elements. The deterioration of the durability of reinforced concrete (RC) columns would result in insufficient seismic capacity for structures. Despite progress in the literature, the understanding of these columns is still limited due to the complexities brought by the corrosion. Moreover, current building codes are mainly developed for intact RC columns, which exhibit significant scatters in predicting the seismic performance of corroded RC columns. To facilitate future investigations, a database containing comprehensive information about 221 corroded RC columns is presented in this project. Researchers are encouraged to explore the use of this database through data-driven approaches and continuously upgrade it.
