Updates to GIS files for Macquarie Island resupply road after storm damage, June 2022

A major storm in June 2022 caused erosion damage to a low-lying road that connects the 74-year-old station with the beach used for landing supplies.The road was no longer suitable for vehicle use and was designated "pedestrian use only" and a new resupply road was required. The road was designed remotely, and then constructed onsite as close to the design as possible. The replacement road was completed in April 2023.This new road and the downgraded road needed to be documented and entered into the AAD enterprise GIS database, they were digitised by georeferencing a CAD as-designed drawing for the new road from AAD210009_MQI_NRS_I-Sheet - AR-1000 - SITE PLAN.dwg, as such the accuracy for the shapefiles is 1-2m.

2022年6月的一场强风暴对连接该74年历史站点与物资登陆海滩的低洼路段造成侵蚀破坏。该路段不再满足车辆通行要求，被划定为“仅行人通行”区域，因此亟需修建一条全新的补给道路。该道路采用远程设计方式，随后在施工现场按照与设计方案尽可能贴合的标准实施施工。这条替代道路于2023年4月完工。需对该新建道路与受损降级路段进行建档，并录入AAD企业地理信息系统（Geographic Information System, GIS）数据库。研究人员通过对来自AAD210009_MQI_NRS_I-Sheet - AR-1000 - SITE PLAN.dwg的新道路计算机辅助设计（Computer Aided Design, CAD）设计图进行地理配准，完成了二者的数字化工作，因此生成的shapefile（Shapefile）数据精度为1至2米。
