PCB126-induced brain damage in mice is mediated by the gut microbiota in mice through the LPS/TLR-4 signaling pathway

Polychlorinated biphenyls 126 (PCB126) can cause brain damage to the body. However, the target and mechanism of action are not clear. Increasing evidence shows that PCB126 exposure can lead to the imbalance of host gut microbiota, which plays an important role in regulating host health and is recently recognized as a key factor for nervous system diseases. We aim to study the relationship between PCB126-induced gut microbiota variations and brain damage and to further identify the mechanism of action.
