Bonza References on Australian and New Zealand Film and Television Collection

This is a collection of records of written references that are about the various films, people, companies, and cinema records within the Bonza database. These reference records are an integral part of the database as this reference information is usually difficult to locate and it usually takes some detailed searching within a library to access this data. The reference records aspect of Bonza has made it a critical point of difference to many other publicly accessible film databases who concentrate mainly on films and actors and not the research material about these films. RMIT Cinema Studies students had to include a certain amount of reference material as well as their essay as part of their final submission for their subject. These reference records were evidence that students undertook detailed research as part of the creation of the student essays. The records in the Bonza References Collection (approx. 2400 records) focus on the written work of film critics and commentators, as well as featuring the writing on other subjects (such as Hansard parliamentary records or general news articles that relate to the student essay). These records include information about what the writer has written about and the viewpoint they have taken in relation to the film/documentary, person, or company, they mention in their piece. The records link to the films/documentaries, people, companies, or other references mentioned.
