Ceramic: Mancos Black-on-white (Puerco style), seed jar, AZRU-00001/984

Mancos Black-on-white (Puerco style), seed jar, Accession AZRU-00001, Catalog #984, Morris FS 4658. Analyzed by Lori Reed 2006. Temper is granular igneous rock indicating manufacture at Aztec. Seed jar was reconstructed with about 98% original fragments and 2% unknown paster material. Kiva S is briefly mentioned in Morris (1924) in reference to a burial, but otherwise there is no published description of Kiva S.
