The spectral characteristics of different types of Poisson integrals are analyzed based on their spectral formulae. In the process of analyzing spectral characteristics of Poisson integrals, L and M are set as 2160 and 5400 respectively, the height of the computation point is taken as 3000m, and the radius of near-zone cap is set as 1°.In order to examine the effectiveness of different types of Poisson kernels in application, continuation and fusion tests of gravity data are carried out in a mountainous area, delimited by longitudes 104°E and 107°E and latitudes 25°N and 28°N. The topography of the test area with the resolution of 2′×2′ fluctuate from 0m to 1545.39m with an average of 731.16m and an RMS of 488.68m. As is known, it is difficult to acquire the accuracy of the gridded measured gravity data exactly. In order to facilitate quantitative analysis of the application effects of different types of Poisson kernels, gravity anomalies in 2′-grid resolution computed by EIGEN-6C4 model are used as experimental data. The model gravity anomalies are computed at the heights of 0m and 3000m, respectively.
