The aim of this study was to examine the progressive mechanisms of adaptation in the rumen (digesta, PARL) and hindgut (feces) of cattle receiving increasing amounts of starch (up to 60%) with or without dietary supplementation of a blend of phytogenic compounds (PHY - thymol, menthol, eugenol).
