16S metagenomics of cattle rumen batch cultures supplemented with and without Bio-Mos prebiotic and B. theta probiotics

Performed 16S metagenomics on rumen batch cultures (collected from cannulated cattle fed diet +/- Bio-Mos for 7 days) supplemented +/- Bio-Mos (yeast cell wall based prebiotic) and strains of Bacteroides thetaiotaomicron to assess prebiotic, probiotic and synbiotic effects. Batch cultures were incubated with prebiotic and B. theta strains for 48 hours, timepoints were collected at 0h, 3h, 6h, 12h, 24h, and 48h for 16S sequencing.
