Dabīrān's Atlas of Premodern Science

Release 1.0 of Dabīrān's Atlas of Premodern Science, an open, interactive map of premodern scholars by place and period. The archive holds the data (data/v1: scholars, localities, sources and the evidence for each scholar's place and date), its JSON Schemas, the editorial ruling files and review sheets from which the data is built, the scripts that build and check it, and the website's source; a second file holds the built static website. The data is licensed CC BY 4.0, except quotations from works in copyright in data/v1/evidence.json, which are reproduced for scholarly reference and remain their publishers' copyright, and except the data of the Islamic Scientific Manuscripts Initiative (ISMI; MPIWG and McGill University), the passages quoted from it and the snapshot data/staging/ismi/persons.json, which is reproduced under ISMI's licence, CC BY-SA 4.0, with attribution (see data/README.md); the code is licensed MIT (LICENSE).
