Treponema pallidum subsp. pallidum (TPA) is the infectious agent of syphilis. This study presents six TPA genomes of Chinese isolates, four of them obtained directly from the clinical material (strain SMUTp_04, SMUTp_07, SMUTp_08, and SMUTp_09) and two obtained from a multiplication in rabbits(strain SMUTp_01 and SMUTp_02).
