资源简介:
This study was conducted in three regions of Senegal – Dakar Centre, Kolda, and Saint Louis – in both public and private sector service delivery settings. The study was a descriptive, observational study with a convergent design combining the following data collection components: • Phone survey with long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) acceptors (n=2018); • Follow-up in-person survey to obtain more details about the experiences of the subset of LARC acceptors participating in the phone survey who have ever tried to obtain a removal (n=664); • Follow-up in-person in-depth interviews (IDIs) with a different subset of LARC acceptors to provide a more in-depth understanding of different types of removal experiences (n=24); • A health facility questionnaire (n=39); • Survey with providers offering LARC removal services (n=55); • IDIs with a different group of LARC providers (n=8). Data from IDIs are not included in this dataverse. This work was supported, in whole, by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation [INV-010614]. Partners on this work include Association Senegalaise Pour Le Bien-Etre Familial (ASBEF), Centre de Recherche pour le Développement Humain (CRDH), Direction de la Santé de la Mère et de l'Enfant (DSME), and IntraHealth International.
