After-ripened seeds were surface-sterilised and plated on nylon mesh overlaid on 0.5% Murashige and Skoog medium containing 0.5 % sucrose and 0.8% plant agar. RNA was extracted from one cm sections of 5-day old roots, containing the root tip.
