Dataset on the incidents involving brown howlers (Alouatta guariba clamitans) in the peri-urban landscape of southern Brazil

Here we present data on >22 years of records on the main incidents involving free-ranging brown howlers in two states of southern Brazil: Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina. Overall, we obtained 423 incidents (SC=218 and RS=205). This information was used to write the manuscript: Chaves, Ó. M., Souza, J. C., Buss, G., Bicca-Marques, J. C., Hirano, Z.M.B., Amaral, E. Attached the following documents; 1) dataset on all incidents (including runover, electrocution, dog-attack, and mistreatments), 2) dataset used asses the main drivers of the event lethality, and 3) a legal document on the economic costs associated to the maintenance of injured monkeys in captivity.本研究呈现了巴西南部两个州——南里奥格兰德州（Rio Grande do Sul）与圣卡塔琳娜州（Santa Catarina）境内逾22年间的野生褐吼猴（brown howler）相关主要事件记录。本次研究共收集到423起事件记录，其中圣卡塔琳娜州218起，南里奥格兰德州205起。 上述数据被用于撰写以下学术论文：Chaves, Ó.
