IL-1Ã promotes the proliferation of rat chondrocytes and inhibits the proliferation of mouse chondrocytes. Overall design: To choose a suitable in-vitro cell model for studying OA, RNA samples from rats chondrocytes and mice chondrocytes were sequenced by using Illumina HiSeq 4000. From the sequence data, we further compared the growth properties of chondrocytes between rats and mice.
