Minimal dataset for " Childhood trauma, substance use and mental health: Exploring gender differences among Tunisian incarcerated adults"

To date, little is known about mental health among Tunisian adult prisoners according to gender. The current study addresses this gap in the literature since it is the first survey worldwide that assesses gender differences in childhood trauma, substance use, and mental health among Tunisian prisoners. We report the results from a cross-sectional survey conducted in April 2023 and July 2024 among a sample of 568 male and female prisoners.
