On August 25, 2023, a handheld LiDAR device (iPhone running Scaniverse) was used to collect 3D scans of a Harbour Porpoise (Phocoena phocoena). These scans were conducted during a necropsy. The handheld LiDAR allowed us to capture highly detailed and accurate morphological data of the porpoise before and after the necropsy commenced.
