This study aims to identify the gene involved in the immune response of placenta-derived amniotic epithelial cells exposed to an inflammatory stimulus, represented by LPS. Previous evidences collected by our research group demonstrated how epithelial-mesenchymal transition influences the immunomodulatory ability of amniotic epithelial stem cells. Therefore, the aim of this study is to characterize in presence of LPS the transcriptomic landscape of amniotic epithelial cells before and after epithelial-mesenchymal transition.
