A 3-hourly meteorological forcing dataset for land surface modeling for the Yellow River Basin and North China

The gridded domain encompasses the entirety of the Yellow River Basin (YRB) and consists of 350 columns and 170 rows, featuring a resolution of 6 km in Lambert conformal conic projection coordinates. The detailed information of the domain (spatial resolution, parameters on the coordinates) can be found in the "wrfinput_d02_USGS", a netcdf file. The description of the variables in the files is same to that used by WRF-Hydro.The 3-hourly meteorological forcing dataset comprises of shortwave and longwave downward radiation, wind velocity, air temperature, relative humidity, air pressure at the surface, and precipitation rate. The dataset was extracted from the 1.0˚×1.0˚ GLDAS-1 land surface product (Rodell et al., 2004), by the bilinear interpolation-sampling method.
