VPRS 10543 Index To Rent Rolls Unused Roads and Water Frontages

The Unused Roads and Water Frontages Branch of the Public Works Department (VA 669) was responsible for the issue of licences for the occupation and use of unused roads and water frontages to the owners and occupiers of adjoining land and for ensuring that the annual rents were paid.This series gave a reference from the licence number as issued to the licensee to the records maintained in the Rent Rolls (VPRS 10542). Details give the license number, the original (and in some cases the continuation) volume of the Rent Rolls in which the entry appears and the folio (or page) upon which the entry is found.Originally, a Register would have listed the license numbers and details of licensees, but this record is not in custody as of August 1999.
