Nanoprobe phase-contrast tomography datasets of porous iron formed through deliberate decomposition of metastable iron nitrides

This DOI entails two datasets per sample at 25nm and 50nm pixel at the detector size, respectively. The samples were measured ex-situ and consist of iron foils that were nitrided and subsequently denitrided in an ammonia environment with step-wise lower nitriding temperature (700-520C). An underlying N2-atmosphere was present to mitigate corrosion and denitriding was performed in Hydrogen. Slim slices of each foil were cut from the middle and mounted onto glass pillars for phase-contrast imaging.
