THE SOCIOLINGUISTIC DIMENSIONS OF LOANWORD ADOPTION IN CONTEMPORARY ENGLISH

This article investigates the sociolinguistic dimensions of loanword adoption in contemporary English. The study analyses the social and pragmatic factors that determine the integration of borrowed words into the English lexical system.
