Temperature increase affected methane production in Arctic and Subarctic sediments and peat soils (Alaska)

Arctic region is considered the most susceptible environment to predict warming due to climate change scenario. In natural environments, microbial communities involved in methane production are the major contributors to methane emissions and are expected to be strongly affected, eventually resulting in positive feedback on methane emissions.
