This dataset contains 14 files which are matched with each figure. The data of Source data files Fig. 1 demonstrated that osteolineage cells transfer mitochondria to myeloid cells. The data of Source data files Fig. 2 and Supplementary Fig. 3 demonstrated that osteolineage cells transfer mitochondria to osteoclastic lineage cells. The data of Source data files Fig. 3 and Supplementary Fig. 3 demonstrated that osteolineage cells derived mitochondria inhibit osteoclast activities. The data of Source data files Fig. 4 and Supplementary Fig. 4 demonstrated that Miro1 mediates the mitochondria transfer from osteolineage to osteoclastic lineage cells. The data of Source data files Fig. 5, Supplementary Fig. 5, Supplementary Fig. 6, Supplementary Fig. 7 and Supplementary Fig. 8 demonstrated that impaired mitochondria transfer from osteolineage to osteoclastic lineage cells results in osteoclastic bone loss. The data of Source data files Fig. 6 and Supplementary Fig. 9 demonstrated that transplant of osteolineage cells derived mitochondria to osteoclastic lineage cells induces ferroptosis via altered glutathione metabolism. The data of Source data files Fig. 7 and Supplementary Fig. 10 demonstrated that mitochondria transfer from osteolineage to myeloid cells regulates GIOP progression.
