Photographic portrait of Franz Lecouvreur, one of the founders of the Farmers and Merchants Bank of Los Angeles, [s.d.]. Franz (Frank) Lecouvreur is shown from his upper torso to his head and is looking slightly to the left. He is wearing a dark jacket, light vest, light shirt, and dark bowtie. He has a long goatee and thick dark mustache. His dark hair is thin and has receded into a prominent widow's peak. He has a pair of small, round-framed glasses perched on his nose. In addition to his role with the bank, Lecouvreur was a director, employee, assistant cashier, cashier, Los Angeles County Surveyor and author of the book "From East Prussia to the Golden Gate". Picture file card also mentions Theodore Maximilian Ferdinand. Photoprint reads: "Surveyor in this area 1862-1885. Surveyed A.B. Chapman tract in Orange County".
