An Insightful Analysis of Dietary Medicine Dataset

This dataset contains high-resolution images of various dietary medicine/food products, specifically curated for CNN-based deep-learning image classification in agriculture. It includes 2252 labeled images, categorized into eight distinct classes: Chia seed, Flax seed, Garden cress seed, Hyptis suaveolens, Plantago ovata, Pumpkin seeds, Tragacanth gum, and White sesame. Images were captured using mobile cameras and labeled by experts. Preprocessing steps, including resizing to 256x256 pixels and normalization, were applied for consistency. This dataset is designed for use in classification tasks, such as dietary medicine and food quality assessment, and aims to facilitate research in smart farming and precision agriculture. However, it is limited to tropical crops and may require further validation for other regions.
