Modeling the Impact of Inventory Management on Sales Performance in Peruvian Nano-Stores: Evidence from Structural Equation Modeling

This dataset supports the research article titled "Modeling the Impact of Inventory Management on Sales Performance in Peruvian Nano-Stores: Evidence from Structural Equation Modeling". The data was collected from 350 nano-store owners and managers located in Lima, Peru, through a structured questionnaire designed to evaluate inventory management practices and their relationship with sales performance.

The dataset includes two files: one Excel file (Dataset.xls) containing the raw responses to Likert-scale questions covering aspects such as inventory control, stock replenishment, supplier reliability, and sales metrics; and one Word file (Questionnaire.docx) detailing the full survey instrument used in the study. The responses were statistically analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), allowing the validation of latent constructs and the identification of causal paths between inventory practices and performance outcomes.

Key variables were constructed based on the theoretical framework and validated using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). The dataset is structured for reuse in studies related to supply chain management, small business operations, informal commerce, and sales optimization in emerging markets.

This dataset was used to provide empirical evidence of how inventory management affects commercial outcomes in the nano-retail sector. All files are shared under a CC BY 4.0 license and can be reused with appropriate citation.
