This dataset contains 4172 records, collected via field investigations and laboratory analyses in the main streams, tributaries and estuary of the Xijiang River Basin from January 2020 to December 2023. The dataset includes the following items: section name, geographic location, first-level water resources division, second-level water resources division, third-level water resources division, prefecture-level administrative region, county-level administrative region, water system name, monitored water body type, sampling time, water temperature, pH value, salinity, electrical conductivity, transparency, dissolved oxygen (DO), 5-day biochemical oxygen demand, permanganate index, total nitrogen, nitrate, nitrite, ammonia nitrogen, total phosphorus, orthophosphate (SRP), chlorophyll-a, and silicon dioxide (SiO2).
