Multi-Omics Study on Targeting RORa-Activated Mitophagy to Block the mtDNA-cGAS-STING-NLRP3 Signaling Cascade for Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy Relief

This study aimed to elucidate the mechanisms by which Retinoic Acid Receptor-Related Orphan Receptor Alpha (RORa) activation promotes mitophagy, subsequently inhibiting the mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA)-cyclic GMP-AMP synthase (cGAS)-stimulator of interferon genes (STING) signaling pathway in aging microglia, thereby suppressing the NLRP3 inflammasome cascade and ultimately alleviating hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE).
