Background:This dataset supports the findings of the study titled "Combined Dexmedetomidine and Ulinastatin Enhance Intestinal Barrier Preservation in Colorectal Surgery: A Randomized Controlled Trial," submitted to Advances in Clinical and Experimental Medicine. Study design:A prospective, randomized, double-blind, controlled trial with four parallel groups (n = 30 per group): Group C — Control (saline) Group D — Dexmedetomidine (DEX) Group U — Ulinastatin (UTI) Group DU — DEX + UTI combination Data contents: Baseline characteristics: Age, sex, BMI, ASA grade Intraoperative data: Operative duration, remifentanil consumption, hemodynamic parameters (HR and MAP) at H0 (baseline), H1 (post-intubation), and H2 (post-extubation) Primary outcomes: Serum DAO and D-Lac levels at T0 (baseline), T1 (1 h post-surgery), and T2 (24 h post-surgery) Secondary outcomes: Time to first flatus, time to first defecation, hospital stay, VAS pain score at T2, and postoperative complications (anastomotic leakage, intestinal obstruction, nausea/vomiting, incision site infection) Statistical analyses: Normality tests (Shapiro-Wilk), homogeneity of variances (Levene's test), sphericity tests (Mauchly's test), Kruskal-Wallis with Dunn's post-hoc (Bonferroni), Friedman with Wilcoxon post-hoc (Bonferroni), and Fisher's exact test File structure: Raw_Data.csv — Complete raw dataset for all variables Ethics and registration:The study was approved by the Ethics Committee of Affiliated Hospital of Inner Mongolia Medical University (Approval No. KY2021032) and registered with the Chinese Clinical Trial Registry (ChiCTR2200056118).
