City Beach - Restoration of High Value Degraded Coastal Dunes

This project will undertake community-based restoration in degraded coastal dunes at Perth's City Beach to enhance the biodiversity of the greater dune system. The worksite has been partially removed of woody weed species and this project will undertake further works including: seed and cutting collection; propagation; weed and debri removal; and enrichment plantings. These will re-establish native vegetation cover and biodiversity to a targeted level. Regular events (including planting days), as well as training and educational activities, will engage the community. The project location will ensure the benefits of ecological restoration, and the biodiversity and aesthetic values of native plants, will be showcased to a wide audience.

本项目将在珀斯城市海滩（Perth's City Beach）的退化沿海沙丘区域开展社区参与式修复工作，以提升更大范围沙丘系统的生物多样性水平。当前作业区域已完成部分木本杂草清除，本项目将推进后续修复工作，具体包括：种子与插穗采集、种苗繁育、杂草及杂物清理、乡土植物补植。上述工作将助力本土植被覆盖率与生物多样性恢复至预设目标水平。项目将通过定期活动（包括种植日）、培训与教育活动吸引社区民众参与。本项目的选址将确保生态修复的效益，以及乡土植物所具备的生物多样性与美学价值，能够面向广泛受众进行展示。
