We employed single-cell RNA sequencing to analyze cells isolated from the spongiosa region of the femoral bone in young female mice exposed to chronic intermittent hypoxia (CIH) or normoxia for 4 weeks. This study provides novel insights into cellular heterogeneity and molecular mechanisms involved in CIH-induced bone growth impairment. Overall design: Following 4-week CIH or normoxia exposure, cells from the spongiosa region of the femoral bone in young female mice were isolated and analyzed using scRNA-seq.
