资源简介:
This dataset is the basis of an investigation of the geochemistry and petrogenesis of the Deloro volcanic assemblage of the Abitibi Greenstone Belt, Superior Province, Canada. The dataset was drawn from a geochemical database of nearly 12000 samples of ultramafic to felsic volcanic rocks from the Abitibi Greenstone Belt. This database includes major and trace element analyses from the "Système d'informations géominières" (SIGÉOM) database of the Ministère des Ressources naturelles et des Forêts (Québec), reports of the Geological Survey of Canada and the Ontario Geological Survey, scientific publications, academic theses, and unpublished data. While much of the database was compiled previously (Vite-Sánchez et al., 2024), we have updated it with more recently released data (2021-2023 data from SIGÉOM and 2012-2022 data from the Ontario Geological Survey).
The Deloro samples were isolated in ArcGIS based on a preliminary version of the Abitibi assemblage map of Jørgensen and Gibson (2024a). The final Deloro dataset presented here includes only mafic to felsic samples. Samples identified as komatiites and komatiitic basalts on the Jensen (1976) ternary diagram or with anomalous geochemical signatures such as very high Fe-Ti on the Jensen (1976) ternary diagram, extremely low Zr/Hf and Nb/Ta ratios, extreme mobilisation of LREE and major element contents indicating very intense alteration were excluded from the dataset. Thus, a total of 2419 samples comprise the “Deloro dataset”.
The data were curated so that all samples contain major element data and trace element data for Ce, Eu, Gd, La, Lu, Nb, Nd, Sm, Th, Y, Yb and Zr, but there are also data for other trace elements (e.g., other LILE, REE and HFSE data a present for most samples, while transition metals and PGE are more variably represented). Sample locations are available for all except three samples. Locations are given as both Northing-Easting and Longitude-Latitude with UTM grid listed. All samples contain a classification based on a Th/Yb versus Yb/Ti plot described in an associated manuscript. In some case the lithological classification was provided by the source of the data, and these terms are listed.
