Nitrogen transformations in fertilized alpine dry and moist meadow soils.

Net nitrogen mineralization, nitrification, and microbial nitrogen were measured in dry and moist meadow plots on Niwot Ridge from early June to mid-October 1992. Dry meadow plots in the City of Boulder Watershed had been fertilized with N during the two years prior to measurements, and both dry and moist meadow plots in the Saddle were being watered and fertilized concurrent to measurements.1992年6月初至10月中旬，研究团队在尼沃特岭（Niwot Ridge）的干旱与湿润草甸样地中，测定了净氮矿化（net nitrogen mineralization）、硝化作用（nitrification）与微生物氮（microbial nitrogen）水平。其中，博尔德流域（City of Boulder Watershed）内的干旱草甸样地，在本次测定前两年已施加氮肥；而鞍部（Saddle）区域的干旱与湿润草甸样地，均在测定期间同步开展灌溉与施肥作业。
