Journals Publishing MRC (UK) funded output

An analysis of the journals contributing to the published output of the UK medical research council. A search at Pubmed for articles with a grant number or affiliation containing MRC or "Medical Research Council" and having an affiliation in the UK was obtained as an XML file. A database of all papers and journals was created (mrc.sql) and this was used to generate a csv file of the contribution of each journal over time (mrc.csv). The top 35 journals were graphed from 2008-2012 and the PLOS contributions highlighted.
