Global Encounters - Looking out, Looking in: Coastal Encounters between First Nations Peoples and those who came from the sea

This report is a survey of encounters between Australian First Nations Peoples and those who came from the sea over the past 1000 years. It is place-based, and focuses on coastal Indigenous communities, and records of their interactions with outsiders leading up to the early 1800s. The main focus is published and archival sources, and it represents one of the outcomes of the Global Encounters and First Nations Peoples Laureate project.
