Supplementary data and files for "Late Miocene climate change and orogenies jointly shaped the diversity patterns and evolution of the cycad genus Dioon L. (Zamiaceae)"

The cycad genus Dioon (Zamiaceae) comprises 18 species mainly distributed in Mexico, a global biodiversity hotpot. However, conflicting hypotheses arise concerning Dioon’s evolutionary history, obscuring the roles of paleoecological and evolutionary drivers. In this project, we reconstructed the phylogeny and evolutionary history of 16 Dioon species using 2,586 genes and analyzed factors influencing their richness pattern and diversification.
