The dataset primarily presents analytical tables that were not included in the main text due to space constraints. The supplementary tables in this study encompass two core components: descriptive statistics of key variables and robustness test results. Specifically, the primary data sources are as follows: customer-firm relationship data were manually collected from the China Customer Satisfaction Index (C-CSI) research publication platform; corporate financial data and patent data were obtained from the CSMAR database; and provincial-level data were extracted from statistical yearbooks of respective provinces over the years. The descriptive statistics of key variables present the mean, standard deviation, maximum, and minimum values of the main variables involved in this study. The robustness analysis results demonstrate the findings from various robustness checks, including alternative measures of the dependent variable, alternative measures of the independent variable, different model specifications, time lag considerations, and adjusted sample periods.
