A method for generating information messages based on a forest plan in a mobile terminal. The method stores content related to a forest area defined by a predetermined forest plan or a forestry pattern belonging to that forest area; and further displaying said content in the form of speech so that it is audible to the user of the mobile terminal. In addition to one example， location data indicating the geographical location of the mobile terminal is maintained， and content display is initiated if the mobile terminal is in that forest area or forestry pattern. A mobile terminal or system， e.g. a server， is adapted to implement the described method. In addition， the method can generate that content based on the forest plan data and the conclusions drawn from the data.
